This month we are featuring Jesse Sage, Content Creator | Model | Pinup | Writer. She shares with us her favorite looks, how she got started in makeup and the most forbidden thing she's ever done (which includes getting chased by security).
42 DUBONNET: Tell us what inspires you?
JESSE: Everything which is why I’m so busy…I do love old movies because you can play a character instead of yourself. And I love inspiring stories.
42 DUBONNET: And tell us which products you are wearing in your photo?
42 DUBONNET: What’s one secret you learned when you started wearing/doing makeup?
JESSE: I learned secrets from being a model because I would ask the MUAs all the time.
42 DUBONNET: What’s one of your secrets for how you do your own makeup?
JESSE: I try to accentuate what I already have. It makes me feel more confident that way.
42 DUBONNET: What’s one of the juiciest secrets you’ve ever been told (one that won’t get you in trouble for sharing it)? Or share a juicy secret about yourself.
JESSE: I’m not a big secret person, but if someone tells me a secret I’ll take it to the grave.
42 DUBONNET: What’s one thing you’re curious about?
JESSE: I’m curious about everything, but I’m especially curious about Marilyn Monroe and the mysteries of Old Hollywood.
42 DUBONNET: What’s the most forbidden thing you’ve ever done that you feel comfortable sharing?
JESSE: Sneaking into a huge YouTube party and running from the security guard and he lost us so we got to stay at the party.
42 DUBONNET: What’s your favorite look to create?
JESSE: Classic Bombshell look which goes with my philosophy of accentuating what I already have. I love the fabulous style of old movies with a mix of David Bowie.
42 DUBONNET: What’s one secret to creating this look?
JESSE: This is a trick I learned from Marilyn Monroe. She used up to 5 colors on her lips to make them bigger and poutier. I use at least 2 colors to create this look.
42 DUBONNET: Do you have a photo of this look that you’d like to share with us?
42 DUBONNET: Thank you Jesse for interviewing with us! Before you go, I'd like to share one of my favorite application I've seen of our eye liner.
I love this video of you where you shared with us how to create a cool ombre effect with lipstick and our Sultry Eyes Gel Liner.
Here was her Pinterest inspiration.
And here you can check out her makeup tutorial.
Maybe it's just me, but this ombre look makes me nostalgic of the late 80s. I remember using black eyeliner pencil to line my lips with a red lipstick.
Thank you for this nostalgic tutorial. We'd love to share with our readers how they can see more of your tutorials and bombshell looks. What's the best way to find you?
